Display Federation John Maione Award

In 1978, the Newspaper Advertising Co-op Network established the John Maione Award in memory of John Maione, former co-op coordinator of the Los Angeles Times and a true industry leader. While the Newspaper Advertising Co-op Network evolved into the Co-operative Marketing & Sales Federation and then became part of the Display Federation, the John Maione award has remained the same. It is the highest honor presented to a member.

This award recognizes a member's life-long contribution to co-op advertising. Maione Awards are presented for distinguished service in carrying out the goals and purposes of the Cooperative Marketing and Sales Committee of the NAA Display Federation; for ideas and efforts in promoting newspaper co-op advertising; and for cooperation, counsel and guidance in NAA plans and projects.

Nominations for the Maione Award are solicited from the general Display Federation membership and forwarded to the Awards Committee, who select three finalists. The winner is selected by the executive committee.

For further information, please contact the Federation Services Hotline at (571) 366-1200 or naafeds@naa.org.
