Display Federation Newspaper Advertising Educator of the Year Award This award is presented to the educator who has demonstrated dedication, caring and nurturing of students in the pursuit of a career in newspaper advertising. The recipient may be a teacher, media advisor or trainer and will have consistently fostered the principles and creativity of the newspaper medium to students, as well as have met the following criteria:
- Successfully instilled in others a professional outlook that embraces newspaper advertising careers;
- Demonstrated a track record of developing successful newspaper advertising sales people;
- Continually looked for new opportunities to instruct/teach others about the opportunities in newspaper advertising;
- Taken leadership roles within the industry;
- Represents a proven track record of contribution;
- Carries a reputation of a person who is admired and respected by his/her peers;
- And, has worked for a newspaper, newspaper company or institute of higher learning.
Nominations for this award are solicited from the general Display Federation membership. The winner is selected by the executive committee.
