MD&P Federation Marketing Master Award The Market Development & Promotion Federation's Marketing Master Award is the highest honor the industry presents to a daily newspaper marketing professional for a single year's accomplishments. The award is presented each year to a marketing professional who meets the following criteria:
- Is an MD&P member and within the nomination year has held the most senior marketing, research, or promotion position at an NAA member company.
- Within the last year, the nominee has demonstrated his or her skill as a Marketing Master by leading the development and implementation of one or more specific marketing programs or campaigns, which have produced outstanding measurable results in the development of readership, revenue and/or improved image for the newspaper or its brands.
- Has provided ongoing dedication, progressive leadership, and community service that have positively influenced the newspaper's employees, readers, advertisers, Web audience and community.
- Is a recognized and respected newspaper marketing and promotion professional and a leader in the industry.
Nominations for the Marketing Master Award come from Federation members and are reviewed by the Awards Committee of the MD&P Board of Directors. Finalists are asked to submit a detailed written career history, which are then submitted with prioritized recommendations to the MD&P Board's Executive Committee, which makes the final selection.
