Research Federation Award of Merit

The Research Award of Merit is presented each year to a research professional who:

  • Creates unique solutions to newspaper research problems
  • Is always looking for new research strategies and stays current in the field of newspaper research
  • Is someone whom other newspaper researchers respect and recognize as a leader in the industry
Nominations for the Research Award of Merit are solicited from the general Research Federation membership and forwarded to the Awards Committee, who selects at least three finalists. The finalists are contacted and asked to provide a more detailed career history. The winner is selected by vote of the full Federation membership.
