BuzzFeed editor-in-chief Ben Smith to speak at NAA mediaXchange 2014

Arlington, Va. – The Newspaper Association of America is pleased to announce Ben Smith, editor-in-chief of BuzzFeed, as a keynote speaker for the 2014 mediaXchange event. The conference will take place on March 16-19, 2014, at the Hyatt Regency in Denver. The event will unite leading executives from media and advertising to discuss best practices for increasing revenue, evolving digital trends and forward-thinking strategies for the newspaper industry.
Smith is the editor-in-chief of BuzzFeed, a cutting-edge media company for social news and entertainment. During his keynote address at mediaXchange 2014, Smith will share his valuable insight and personal examples of driving innovation on the digital news media front. BuzzFeed strives to provide its 75 million monthly unique viewers with a glimpse of the viral Web in real time. Before working at BuzzFeed, Smith was a distinguished blogger and writer for Politico, during which Time Magazine named his daily blog one of the "Five Essential Blogs in 2010." Smith has also written for other esteemed publications such as The Wall Street Journal, The Los Angeles Times, The New York Post, The New Republic, Legal Affairs, Reason and In These Times.
