2008 NAA Circulation Survey: Details and Support for Participants
November 2008
The NAA Circulation Marketing Department has launched the 2008 NAA Circulation Survey. This is the comprehensive survey we conduct every other year and this installment will be the basis for the 2009 Circulation Facts, Figures, and Logic publication.
Once again this year you have several options for completing the survey and returning it to us (online, mail, e-mail, fax). Select the method that works best for you. Clark, Martire & Bartolomeo, Inc. working with NAA mailed a printed version of the questionnaire in early November. Newspapers can complete and return the survey questionnaire by mail or fax or choose an electronic option.
You may choose from the following three options:
- Link to the Online Version of the 2008 NAA Circulation Survey: Taking your survey online is the preferred method, and will allow you to easily make changes and save the survey until you are ready to submit it to NAA. Submitted responses will come to NAA immediately. The individualized links to the survey were emailed to newspapers on November 12. If a newspaper does not have the survey link available, CMB can resend the link. For additional information on the online version of the NAA 2008 Circulation Survey contact Greg Martire.
- Download and Edit a PDF Version of the 2008 NAA Circulation Survey: The downloadable PDF version of the 2008 NAA Circulation Survey can be saved to your computer and the answers can be typed into the interactive PDF document. Answers typed into the interactive PDF can be saved on your computer multiple times. When complete, you can simply email the PDF to Greg Martire.
- Print a PDF Version of the 2008 NAA Circulation Survey: The downloadable PDF version of the 2008 NAA Circulation Survey can be printed and filled out by hand. When complete, you can submit the survey by mail or fax.
Mailed surveys should be sent to: Clark, Martire & Bartolomeo, Inc. 375 Sylvan Avenue Suite 1 Englewood Cliffs, NJ 07632
Faxed surveys should be sent to: (201) 568-9740
Your participation is a contribution to the industry research that provides circulation executives the most authoritative newspaper circulation sales and operational data, and it also guarantees you a complimentary copy of the 2009 Circulation Facts, Figures, & Logic publication as soon as it is available next spring.
For participating in this survey you also gain access to the 2005 and 2007 edition of Circulation Facts, Figures and Logic online.
NAA intends to enrich the site with additional resources to support the newspaper marketing executive with the information necessary to build audience and improve operational effectiveness.

2003 Circulation Facts, Figures & Logic Over the course of many years, NAA has published Circulation Facts, Figures and Logic to document the continuing evolution of newspaper marketing, and the 2003 edition aptly fulfills this responsibility. Circulation executives thrive on success that can be measured. NAA's circulation marketing department responds to this passion by conducting a comprehensive, biennial study of newspaper circulation and marketing practices across North America to share with the industry. It provides circulation executives a study that provides industry performance data, supports internal metrics and provides the data needed for developing marketing plans, and capital planning. |
