Paul Berger (writer) – Paul Berger is a British freelance journalist based in Brooklyn, N.Y. His articles have appeared in a range of newspapers and magazines, including the New York Times, the Washington Post, Forbes, Movie Maker, and Online Journalism Review. He is also the contributing editor of five books, including "All the Money in the World: How the Forbes 400 Make—and Spend—Their Fortunes" and the New York Times bestseller "Secrets of the Code." He writes a blog, Englishman in New York, at http://pdberger.com.

A.S. Berman (writer) – A former technology writer and associate editor for NAA’s Presstime magazine, A.S. Berman also served as technology writer for USA TODAY. Currently he is at work on two books: “The New Horror Handbook” and “Soap: The Inside Story of the Sitcom that Broke All the Rules.” He lives in Loveland, Colo.

Sally Clarke (designer/editor) – Sally Clarke coordinates projects for the Audience and New Business Development department at NAA. She designs and edits reports on digital media, and maintains newsvoyager.com and growingaudience.org. Previously, she was communications analyst for the development information services project of Academy for Educational Development with USAID, supporting the knowledge for development team. A lifetime Arlington resident, she is active in her community and volunteers her event planning and Web skills for organizations including the Girl Scouts, Animal Welfare League and Arlingtonians for a Clean Environment.

Roger Fidler – As program director for digital publishing at the Donald W. Reynolds Journalism Institute, Roger Fidler coordinates digital publishing research and development projects and the RJI Digital Publishing Alliance, a member-supported initiative that includes The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal and Los Angeles Times. Prior to joining the RJI as its first fellow in 2004, he had a distinguished career as a journalist, newspaper designer, entrepreneur, and journalism professor. Fidler is the author of "Mediamorphosis: Understanding New Media" (Pine Forge Press, 1997) and numerous articles and book chapters. In 1999, the Freedom Forum Newseum honored him as an electronic news pioneer and one of history’s “most intriguing newspeople” in its book "Crusaders, Scoundrels, Journalists" (Eric Newton, ed., Times Books/Random House).

David LaFontaine – David LaFontaine has more than 20 years experience as a journalist, editor, and multimedia producer working in film, television, print, radio, and the Internet. He was the managing editor of the Caracas Daily Journal and then freelanced stories from Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, El Salvador and Guatemala. He speaks fluent Spanish and worked as an editor and reporter in Latin America for nearly three years.  David won a Pulliam Fellowship that helped him start his career at the Arizona Republic in 1987. David’s interest in online communications dates back to the early days of Prodigy and 2400 baud modems.  He blogs and writes about his most recent projects at www.ArtesianMedia.com.

Beth Lawton (writer/editor/project director) – Beth Lawton is manager, digital media communications at the Newspaper Association of America. She is editor of the Online Publishing Update and all of NAA’s Digital Edge reports. She also administrates NAA’s Media Innovation Awards – Digital Edge categories. Beth is a graduate of the Medill School of Journalism, Northwestern University and of Washington University in St. Louis. She has worked for several news outlets in the Midwest and the Caribbean. 

Allison Mooney – Allison Mooney is the Senior Director, Mobile Insights with Fleishman-Hillard’s Youth and Mobile Marketing group. She tracks youth-driven wireless trends and innovations for the group’s insights arm, Next Great Thing (NGT), and is working on the launch of a new mobile advertising agency. Allison runs the group’s Web site, NextGreatThing.com and is a Contributing Editor with PSFK, a popular blog on trends and innovations. She has also written for Details and Radar among other publications.

Mark Toner – Mark Toner is a freelance consultant. He worked as a writer and editor for NAA’s Presstime and TechNews publications for eight years.
