NEXPO '07 Coverage from NAA

For those of us who couldn't make it to Orlando, there's plenty online about NAA's Nexpo 2007. The technology and innovation conference started yesterday and continues through Tuesday.

Most importantly, PRESSTIME magazine is putting out a daily tabloid newspaper during the entire event. Pressmart and Olive Software are both providing electronic editions at naa.org/presstime. The daily publication has won numerous awards in past years -- we're sure this year's daily editions will be even better!

Sunday, PRESSTIME magazine honored four newspaper companies with the Innovative Operations Awards for creative solutions to newspaper industry challenges. (The awards were formerly known as the Best Practices Awards, but PRESSTIME renamed the awards this year to recognize some of the new challenges facing newspapers.)

This year’s winners were The Rockford (Ill.) Register Star for printing technology, The Palm Beach Post for newspaper systems (specifically, their “Classifieds to Go” system allowing the paper to offer all classifieds over mobile devices), The San Diego Union-Tribune for environmental, health and safety innovation in recycling and The Wall Street Journal’s Riverside, Calif. plant for packaging and distribution. See the press release for more information.
