From the WAN Congress

For those of us who aren't in South Africa at the moment, Vincent Maher and Matthew Buckland are both live-blogging the World Association of Newspapers Congress this week in South Africa.

Maher writes the Media in Transition blog and is director of the New Media Lab at Rhodes University. Buckland works for the Mail & Guardian Online. Both are based in South Africa.

And, of course, check out The Editors Weblog for coverage. (The Editors Weblog is published by the World Editors Forum, which is part of WAN.)

This is the 60th World Newspapers Congress and the 14th World Editors Forum. The theme for this year is "Shaping the Future of Newspapers." The 2008 Congress will be in Sweden.
