Edgie Awards Entries Open!

August 15 Update:  I love Edgie Awards season. I get to see all the cool, innovative stuff newspapers are doing!

So, yes, the entry site is officially open.  (The direct Web address is www.naa.org/mediainnovationawards, but that might change at some point as we go through a redesign of NAA.org, so you may want to consider bookmarking this site instead from our contests vendor, Omnicontests.)

If you have any questions about the site or the awards, feel free to call me (571) 366-1037 or e-mail me at beth.lawton@naa.org.

August 15th has finally (almost) arrived!

Wednesday, the Newspaper Association of America will start accepting entries for the Digital Edge Awards (a.k.a. The Edgies).

For the past 11 years, The Edgies have honored innovation in newspaper digital media. For the first time this year, the Digital Edge Awards are part of a larger awards group, the NAA Media Innovation Awards. (NAA's ACME Awards are now part of the MIAs, too.)

We're looking for entries for numerous categories from advertising to editorial digital media innovation. We'll need a sample of your work (i.e. a link to the Web site, relevant audio or video, photos, etc.) and we're asking for some details about the project.

I'll have more details and the updated link to enter here tomorrow.
