Teen$eek
The
NAA Foundation started Teen$eek after conducting research to determine
how newspapers can groom Generation Y to be loyal readers, and how to
develop this new revenue stream.
The
project was conducted in three test markets with award-winning youth sections.
The NAA Foundation provided each newspaper a grant for a dedicated sales
rep, and avenues to bring new revenue streams to youth sections were explored,
tested and achieved. Each section shows the potential, if the full commitment
was made, to establish self-sufficiency. The Teen$eek report details the
success of the projects first year.
