Newspaper Joint Operating Agreements
The Newspaper Preservation Act of 1970 was created to preserve a diversity of editorial opinion in communities where the market no longer supported two competing daily newspapers. Editorial operations under a Joint Operating Agreement remain separate; all other operations are combined. Listed here are the 12 JOAs with the year they expire.
