NAA Launches Web Page

NAA introduced its World Wide Web home page (http://www.infi.net/naa) at Connections X, the newspaper industry's longest-running new-media conference, June 23-24 in Atlanta. The Web page contains direct links to 55 newspapers on the Internet; on-line versions of TechNews and Presstime; plus the latest information on industry trends, research and studies.

Web surfers can choose among four areas on the page:

"NAA has an obvious role in helping to make newspapers on the Web a crossroads for advertisers, readers and other industry watchers," said Randy Bennett, director of NAA's New Media Group. "Our goal is to make this site the place to which publishers turn for interesting ideas and information about what their colleagues are doing electronically."

The home page will also offer access to NAA publications and the New Media Index (a daily list of "hot" newspaper Web sites), as well as a weekly feature about newspapers that have developed novel content on the Internet.
