Pagination Tales

If you plan to paginate, or are doing so and having troubles, you might want to check out Cole's Notes--Profiles in Pagination. This 72-page book provides case studies of pagination efforts at several U.S. newspapers.

Cole's Notes is a compilation of eight feature articles recently published in The Cole Papers, an industry newsletter. It details pagination efforts at the Alameda Newspaper Group (publishers of The Oakland Tribune), The Times in Munster, Ind., the Daily Herald in suburban Chicago, the Nacogdoches Daily Sentinel and The Lufkin Daily News in Texas, the Carroll County Times in Westminster, Md., and the Las Vegas Review-Journal.

The articles were written by industry-consultant David M. Cole and L. Carol Christopher, among others. Both are frequent contributors to TechNews.

Price is $35, with discounts offered for advanced payment, quantity purchases and to regular subscribers to The Cole Papers. To order, contact The Cole Group by e-mail, dmc@colegroup.com, phone (415) 673-2424; or fax, (415) 673-2449.
