![]() SII RestructuresSystem Integrators Inc. of Sacramento, Calif., announced Jan. 6 that it is adopting a new business structure to become a "true" system integrator and strengthen its customer-service business. SII also announced that it is expanding its relationship with Cybergraphic Systems Pty. Ltd. of Melbourne, Australia. The SII/Cybergraphic relationship will include joint development of a new generation of Microsoft Windows NT-based publishing software as well as cooperative sales, marketing and support. The goal is to provide a migration path for current SII customers to the new, jointly developed Cybergraphic publishing solutions. SII will continue to sell, support and improve its current product line. SII reduced the size of its research and development staff by 14. The reductions focused on areas where SII had been developing software that it will now license from Cybergraphic or other third parties. The new SII/Cybergraphic product line will initially include bridge products under the name SIIberBridge, making it easier for current SII customers to migrate to Cybergraphic-designed Genera publishing solutions. SII will work with Cybergraphic to port the Genera product line to Tandem Computers' Serverware and ServerNet architecture. TechNews Volume 3, Number 1: January/February 1997Return to
