Hearing Conservation and Forklift Safety Kits

In July 1996, NAA contracted with J.J. Keller & Associates Inc. to produce two newspaper-specific, safety-training videos: "Hearing Conservation at Your Newspaper" and "Forklift Safety For Newspapers: An Operator Training Program." These videos, which are designed to help newspapers provide their employees with classroom-style training, contain footage of actual newspaper environments.

Each video is packaged with a training kit containing an instructor's guide, course-preparation materials, employee handbooks and wallet cards. The kits are designed to make it easy for just about anyone to develop and administer classroom-style training.

"These are among the best training videos for newspapers I've ever seen," says Eric Wolferman, NAA senior vice president of technology. "It's of great benefit to provide newspaper-specific environments to demonstrate safety techniques."

NAA-member prices are $150 per training kit or $270 for both. To order, call (800) 651-4NAA. For more information, call NAA Industrial Hygienist Kelley Clark at (703) 902-1833 or send e-mail to clark@naa.org.
