Quipp vs. Cannon
Quipp Systems Inc. of Miami has filed a patent-infringement lawsuit againstCannon Equipment Co. of Cannon Falls, Minn. The suit claims that Cannon's SeriesII Newspaper Cart Loader infringes a Quipp patent. The suit seeks an injunction,damages and other relief. The patent, issued to Quipp in 1993, covers anautomatic system for loading newspaper bundles on carts.
