CTP Report Available

Is computer-to-plate technology ready for the rigorous demands of daily newspaper publishing? Can it be cost-justified in today's printing operations? How can a publisher determine if CTP will work in his or her plant?

To answer these questions, NAA and IFRA, the international association for newspaper and media technology, jointly sponsored an exhaustive study of this promising new technology.

The result is Stepping Up to Computer-to-Plate, a comprehensive analysis of CTP and its implications for newspapers. The report provides extensive coverage of the topic, ranging from how CTP works to an economic analysis of CTP for newspapers. Stepping Up to Computer-To-Plate

A free copy of the report has been sent to publishers or executive offices of all NAA-member newspapers. Additional copies can be ordered by dialing (800) 651-4622 and asking for item #10054. Cost is $30 for NAA members and $100 for nonmembers.
