AdSEND Links to ISDN

The Associated Press has announced that AP AdSEND, its digital-advertising delivery service for U.S. newspapers, is now compatible with 4-Sight's iSDN Manager product. With several Primary Rate ISDN "receive units" now installed at AP's technology center in Cranbury, N.J., all 4-Sight ISDN users can use the AdSEND without having to purchase additional equipment. For example, pre-press houses using 4-Sight to electronically deliver advertising materials to printers now can also send display advertising to newspapers. AdSend Diagram

Tom Brettingen, director of AdSEND business development for The Associated Press, sees 4-Sight compatibility as a logical extension of AdSEND's end-to-end service for the digital distribution of advertising materials. "Instead of requiring individual newspapers to install ISDN services on their own, AdSEND can now receive files via 4-Sight ISDN and forward them to newspapers over AP's satellite and terrestrial networks," he says.
