Color Jump-start
NAA's Color Reproduction Quality Task Force has created a brochure it hopes will jump-start print-quality efforts at newspapers.
The NAA Quick Start Guide to Quality Reproduction was designed to provide a quick and portable reference for newspaper-operations personnel. The brochure-sized guide includes simple, generic and easy-to-implement procedures covering:
- Good copy call
- Visually matching printed copy to proofs
- Obtaining quality tearsheet samples during the press run and submitting them to customers (see p. 23).
The guide also includes information on how to contact task-force members and NAA staff liasons, a list of recommended resources for further reading, and a collection of needed print-quality tools in the pre-press and press areas.
