Digital Edge Award Finalists
Newspapers submit more than 200 entries
Update -- Feb. 22, 2008
The Digital Edge Award winners will be announced at 8:30 a.m. Monday, Feb. 25, at the NAA Marketing Conference in Orlando, Fla. (Those who are attending the awards ceremony, go to room "Crystal H".)
In addition, we are releasing "Behind the Winning Entries," a report that includes the winners' original entries, the same day. That report will be linked to from the Digital Edge blog or from www.naa.org/digitaledge.
This year brought a record number of entries to the Digital Edge Awards (“The Edgies”), which are now part of the NAA Media Innovation Awards. The MedIAs emphasize growing strategy and innovation across newspaper media, especially in the areas of audience and revenue. The Digital Edge categories specifically honor newspapers’ best online news, interactive communication and advertising programs.
The Digital Media Federation will host the 13th annual presentation of The Edgies during the NAA Marketing Conference, Feb. 24 – 27 in Orlando. Registration for the Marketing Conference is open now.
More than two dozen digital newspaper media professionals evaluated the 200+ entries based on strategy, creativity, impact and adaptability.
The finalists for the 2008 Digital Edge Awards generally are listed in alphabetical order, grouped by category and circulation level. The number of Digital Edge Award finalists in each category and circulation level varies depending on the number of entries and the range of scores.
